The Gan HaYeled PreSchool at Adas Israel Congregation is a warm and welcoming, NAEYC Accredited Preschool in the heart of Washington, DC. Known for its strong community of students, parents, and faculty, the Gan is the perfect place for children to learn, grow, and have fun! Now offering both Full Day and Part Time programs.

Welcome to the Gan, a premier Jewish preschool in Washington, DC. We are a community of students, staff, and parents who learn and play together. Our children, ages six months to five years, are excited to come to school to experience new things and see familiar faces. Children form friendships with one another that sometimes turn into lifelong relationships, and parents frequently make plans for coffee and get-togethers with other families. We are a diverse community of families who celebrate traditions together, and whose children learn to love learning.  more >

So much to little time
Do you ever feel that there are not enough hours in the day? Of course you do. We all do! Everyone says that the years while our children are young are fleeting and that we had better enjoy the time. But who has time to enjoy the time? It's a vicious cycle....At the Gan, we try very hard NOT to add stress to our parents' lives. We try to minimize the number of times we require parents to come to school while maximizing opportunities should parents' schedules permit. Adas is offering Nurture the Wow next Tuesday and the Gan will offer parenting webinars that may be "attended" in one's home. Please know thatMichal Berkson from the Jewish Social Service Agency, the Gan admnistrative staff, and the Adas clergy are available to help navigate parenting challenges.

Gan staff were asked to write what the Gan means to them. This work of art is what they said:
