The Gan now offers many part-day and part-week programs, as well as full-week and full-day options. Part-day/part-week classes meet from September through early June. Our full-day classes meet for 12 months, September- August.

Classes that meet only in the morning (8:50 am -11:50 am) are designated by the number of mornings they meet (2x, 3x, 5x).

Classes that meet five mornings and some afternoons (8:50 am - 2:50 pm on longer days) are designated by the number of mornings (5) plus afternoons they meet (5+2, 5+3, 5+5).

Classes that meet for the full day (8 am - 6 pm) are designated "full-day."

2018 Sweet Summertime Camp Flyer Coming in January

Registration opens February 6th for Adas members and February 13th for current Gan families. Registration for everyone opens February 20th.

Camp:  Summertime at Adas Israel’s Gan HaYeled is about making friends, actively learning, and participating in Jewish traditions. Many first-time Gan students enroll in our Sweet Summertime Camp to become familiar with the school and ease transitions at the beginning of the school year*. Returning students enjoy the opportunity to spend more time with the teachers and friends they have grown to love. Camp runs from mid-June through early-August, and veteran Gan teachers staff the classes.

A camp day is similar to a school day at the Gan. Mornings begin with playtime in classrooms, followed by water play and other outdoor fun. Campers create unique art projects, and enjoy field trips to places like the Puppet Company at Glen Echo, the National Building Museum, farms, etc. All children eat lunch at camp, often enjoying picnics in the shade.

Sweet Summertime registration begins in January with priority given to Adas Israel members and Gan families. For more information, call the Gan office at 202-362-4491.

*Children must be 2 1/2 years old to enroll in Sweet Summertime Camp
