Espy A. - Originally from Ecuador, Espy has been working at the Gan for 25 years. She has studied English at UDC and earned her CDA certificate. She has completed many hours of continuing education workshops, seminars, and conferences over her years at the Gan.

Jodi A. - Jodi has been working in Early Childhood Education since 2011. She previously graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors Degree in History and is currently working on earning her masters. In addition to teaching in the Zebrot class, Jodi also teaches 6th and 7th grade religious school at another local synagogue.

Elaine B. - Elaine began her teaching career as a first and second grade teacher in the D.C. Public school System where she taught for 11 years. When her daughters were born she took a break and then started teaching at the Gan. She has been here for over 20 years.

Isabel B. -

Jonathan B. - Jonathan started working at the Gan in 2014. He was born and raised in Cleveland Park and attended the Adas Israel religious school. He even had his bar mitzvah at Adas!  Jonathan is married and has a daughter who was born in 2016. Let's go Penguins!

Rae B. - Rae has been year teaching in early childhood Jewish education for more than 20  years. Her career first began in the pre-school at her home synagogue where she also taught in the religious school for fifteen years.  In 1994 she began teaching at Ohr Kodesh Early Childhood Center, where she continues to teach in the afternoon full day program.  Rae has taught at Beth El in Bethesda and is now in her second year teaching at the Gan.  In order to stay current in early childhood practices Rae enjoys taking courses at Prince George’s Community College, NAEYC, PJLL, and Montgomery Child Care Association. One of the highlights of Rae’s teaching career was to travel to Israel in 2007 with fellow early childhood educators as part of a joint program with the Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning and Jewish Federation.

Daniel C. - Daniel started his career of mentoring, guiding, teaching, and caring for people of all ages in 2008.  First he worked with people who were severely mentally challenged ages one through twenty-one and then  he moved on to working with mentally challenged adults. Later he began counseling children with very serious behavioral issues before moving to Europe to teach.  Daniel is originally from PA but since leaving Europe and moving to Maryland he has held two other teaching positions before finding his new home here at the Gan.  He joined our family in 2015 and is currently working many different roles with us.

Miriam C. - Miriam is from Guatemala and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Miriam is just two classes shy of earning her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working at the Gan since 2007.

Lauren D. -Lauren has been working in the Early Childhood field since 2006. Before working at Gan HaYeled, she worked as an after school lead teacher at a Washington D.C. public charter school, and assistant teacher at a daycare in MD. Currently, she is working on her associates degree in Early Childhood Education at Trinity University. At the Gan, she is the assistant in two classrooms, the Squares and Zebrot.

Daniel D. - Daniel has been working at the Gan for more than a decade!. With a passion for video games and art, he attended the Art Institute for Video Game Art and Design. His favorite medium is clay, and he integrates his design and art passions with his love of teaching as an assistant teacher and as our STEAM specialist.

Diane F.  - Diane has been a preschool teacher for a number of years.  She has worked in different preschool and school settings.  Over the years, Diane has been an assistant teacher, a senior staff/assistant teacher and a substitute Sunday school teacher.  She's very excited to be working at the Gan!  

Shana F. - Shana is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, who is new to the Gan this year. She got her Bachelor's in Social Work, and is planning on going back to school for her Masters degree and hopes to work with children/adolescents in her future. She has worked at the religious school here, and loves being a part of the Adas Israel work environment.
