Composed of most Gan families, and run by an exceptionally motivated team that welcomes anyone’s help - small commitments or large -- the Gan Parents’ Association (GPA) sponsors more than thirty programs each school year to enrich children, parents and staff.  They include community outreach projects, religious holiday celebrations, fundraisers, and social events. Everyone is encouraged to join the GPA. Read more about what's happening and how to get involved.  For specific questions, please contact the GPA co-presidents.

Parent Involvement

Parents are an important part of creating a warm and fun community of learners. Teachers make every effort to keep parents current on classroom activities and children’s milestones. Parents are welcome to discuss their child’s progress with teachers and Gan staff at any time.

Parents and caregivers fill the hallways during drop off and pick up, making plans to get together after school and on weekends. We know that Gan families value the ease with which both child and adult friendships take seed at the Gan, and then grow outside its classrooms. This is a welcoming community, and the bonds of friendship formed here often last far beyond the preschool years.

Gan Advisory Committee

The Gan HaYeled Preschool Advisory Committee recommends policies and standards for the school. It acts as liaison between the school and the synagogue board of directors, and advocates for the preschool before the membership of the congregation. The chairperson of the committee reports to Adas Israel’s vice president of education and is a member of the Adas Israel Board of Managers. A seat on the Gan HaYeled Advisory Committee is open to any member of Adas Israel who has had a child in the Gan for at least one year, and commits to being on the committee for an entire year. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the chairperson.
